I don't know what the delay was but you can place an order for one. I wonder what the delivery time is?

Rick from Time Machines said the first ones were being built. I read a Motor Trend article from 2009 that said they would be available in 2010? Wonder what took 4 more years?

Rick from Time Machines said the first ones were being built. I read a Motor Trend article from 2009 that said they would be available in 2010? Wonder what took 4 more years? The four years is due to the economy as well as some chassis/interior redesign. The decision was made to forgo some of the Grand Sport originality to improve the car for real world road use. There is a GM licensed company that will build a "nut and bolt" racing replica so it was decided to make the road cars more user friendly on the street. Thus rack and pinion steering replaces the worm and sector with linkage system on the original GS cars.
Improvements in the interior as well as optional upgrades allow the car to be a real "Grand Touring" machine in the spirit of the changes made to the Daytona Coupe vs. the original race cars.
The economic meltdown meant the factory could not use all of its resources on one project and continue to operate so the GS development was slowed....and it took a long time.....but it will be worth it! The first production level cars are in build now.
Note that the major GS features like the tubular frame, etc. are still featured. Some pictures of the coupe master pattern and the production style frame are here: www.timemachinesauto.com/Photo_Gallery.php

Thanks for the update, looking toward to some owner experiences. When do they expect customer deliveries? Fourth quarter of this year, perhaps earlier.
