I've got an alum Pond 427 FE punched out to 482. HAD A Roush 427 SR/TW, could not get rid of it fast enough!!!!! The 482 is about the same weight, but the torque, and the sound are in a class all by themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Were ear plugs required with the SB 427 and now, for the 482? I ask because, I feel the need for a 427 under the hood to complete the dream. But, not at the expense of the drivability that I have now. And, not having to wear ear plugs adds to my drivability. I have a 351W with around 440 fwhp (per the previous Owner) that moves really well and does not require the use of ear plugs, even with the larger bore pipes. My car is due back to Dennis Oltoff's shop for a windshield install. I can put my car on the dyno to verify the rwhp. This could be an expensive test as ignorance is bliss. Hello Re Your Pond 427 and the Roush 427 SR / TW. My rolling, Superformance, Chassis is at the shop in Irvine waiting for me to decide on a motor / trans package ( and money ! ha ! ) I was ( am ) ready to pull the trigger on the Roush 427 SR ( 510 HP I believe ) however, have read and seen comments like yours. Negative regarding these motors...
Please share more personal information Please ! ( anyone )
Much appreciated
Steve
