Started the Cobra and it was idling high like 2000 rpms popped the hood and everything looked fine. Tried revving it and nothing. Decided to drive it to the end of the road and it just went away? Started it a few times after that and it was fine?

It could need adjusting and/or it could be sticking open. Either way, it sounds like an EC issue.
